Initial Setup and Instructions

Thank you for purchasing the best streaming device available today. We know you will enjoy all the entertainment possibilities available to you. You will be ready to experience the greatest streaming content available today with the MAX IV ELITE TV Box.  One of the biggest benefits is the mobility of the TV Box.  You can take it traveling or camping, as long as the internet is available. Below is our FAQ and some Tips & Tricks to help get you started.

Your MAX IV Elite TV Box has already been set up and checked for you. It is a plug-and-play; HDMI CORD to your TV and plug in the power cord.  Using an ethernet cable from your router directly into your MAX IV Box is your best option for the least buffering, pausing, or internet issues.  WIFI is always available, if needed, as an option and you can find this under settings. 

 

MAIN HOME SCREEN:  Only use LIVE TV, VOD, and PLAYBACK on your box.  Click the MAX IV Remote's home button to reach the main home screen.

Press the first BLUE        button on the bottom right side of your MAX IV remote to disable or enable the floating cursor.  Using the cursor helps when updating or using the settings options on the TV Box.

 

***Press the          (Settings) icon on the bottom left of the HOME menu.

 

***You can reach HOME anytime by pressing the           (Home) button on the remote.

***Select ‘Network & Internet,’ select your wireless network, and enter your password.

 

Reminder to adjust the Time Zone for where you live. Time will be displayed on the front of the MAX IV TV Box.

This can also be found within your HOME SCREEN's          (Settings) menu.

 

Looking for Live TV Channels? Click LIVE TV – Click BLUE TV

Pressing the “OK” Button will display the various tabs on top for LIVE TV, Network TV Tab contains all the live tv channels, Regional Locals Tab has: ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.

Pressing the left or right arrow will display more tv tabs that may be hidden.                    

Pressing the up and down directional arrows will help scroll through various tv channels.

 

Looking for Sports Channels? Click LIVE TV – Click BLUE TV – Click SPORTS NETWORKS

Examples:  ESPN, NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL, NFL Redzone (Sunday’s Only), etc

 

Looking for Specific Sports Tabs?  Click LIVE TV – Click BLUE TV

Frequently Asked Questions

Adding TV Channel to Favorite Tab

Hold the OK Button for 2 – 3 seconds until the star gets highlighted. Once highlighted, the specific channel will be in your FAVORITE’S TAB.

IS YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION OVER 25 MBPS?

It helps to have fast download speed and good internet; ethernet is your best route.

 

ARE YOU USING WIFI OR ETHERNET CABLE?

Connecting your MAX IV to an Ethernet cable from your router will make your connection much faster and more stable than WIFI. Ethernet is the best option, if available. 

 

HOW MANY DEVICES ARE CONNECTED TO YOUR NETWORK?

The more people connecting to devices in your household and using the internet at one time may cause buffering and pausing on your TV Box.  Upgrading and going to a faster internet usually helps.

 

HOW FAR AWAY IS YOUR MODEM OR ROUTER FROM YOUR STREAMING DEVICE?

If you’re using WIFI, the further away your router is from your streaming device, the slower the internet will be.  Adding an optional WIFI Extender to your home can help.  (Example:  Nighthawk Wifi Extenders)

 

MY BOX WON’T POWER ON OR TURN OFF.

Be patient; whenever you turn on the box, it takes a few seconds to boot up.  The red light will turn to a blue light with a time display.  Hold the power button down for a few seconds when turning on or off the box.  A quick button push doesn’t work on the MAX IV remote. 

The easiest way is to leave the Box on your HOME SCREEN and turn off the TV, using the TV remote only.  This will keep your system running and ready to go when you turn your TV back on. The MAX IV TV Box will only use WIFI if you are streaming a show or watching a live tv channel.  

 

VOLUME CONTROL ISSUES? 

Set the main volume on your tv set, and use the volume button on your MAX IV remote.

 

MY SCREEN SHOWS “DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE.”

Sometimes you must leave that channel for a minute to let the internet load. It may be a WIFI issue as well.  Leaving that channel and returning in a minute may solve the problem.

Some channels or programs may not be available during that specific time slot or day, depending on certain programming shows.

 

Missed a SHOW or an EVENT?  Click PLAYBACK for playback options

You will have seven days to watch it from when it originally aired on the PLAYBACK OPTION. 

The box will NOT record anything; it saves limited shows and events on certain channels for a

seven-day playback.  Most of your sports channels appear on Playback, including Pay Per View.
